Cement

Dust and emissions management for an energy-intensive process: accountability toward nearby communities.

The challenge

Dust is the complaint that never stops

Crushers, clinker stockpiles and haul roads generate fugitive dust that stack filters never touch. Complaints from surrounding neighbourhoods arrive faster than any inspection, and each one erodes the social license to operate.

Perimeter units at the fence line and nearest receptors turn that around: a major cement facility cut complaints from 5 to 1 per month after deploying fence-line monitoring and targeting dust suppression where the data pointed. Cement leaders including OYAK Çimento and Heidelberg Materials work with Airqoon.

What we deploy
  • Unit L with PM2.5/PM10 and SO₂ at the fence line and receptors
  • Anemometer add-on linking events to crusher, stockpile or truck route
  • Airqoon Lens with thresholds, alerts and AI monthly reports
  • Rental model with typical payback around 18 months

Cut the complaints, keep the kiln running.
